Welcome to the official website for the Colorado Taxidermist

The Colorado Taxidermist Association is a non-profit organization of taxidermists, hobbyist, suppliers and tanners dedicated to the art and education of the taxidermy industry.

The CTA is currently hold short meetings in conjunction with all day seminars held in March & August. We also conduct a business meeting at our State Taxidermy Championships, which is held in May or early June every year.

At the State Taxidermy Championship, which is our major event of the year we have a taxidermy competition, seminars by nationally recognized seminarians, a banquet and fundraiser auction.

Our newsletter staff publishes newsletters and an annual report throughout the year and usually correspond with each of the meeting/seminar events and State Taxidermy Championships.

The CTA plans two full day seminars each year, one in March and one in August. Being full day sessions the topics will be on completely mounting birds, fish, gamehead or mammals, and at time will be a hands-on activity.
