Welcome to the Colorado Taxidermy Association (CTA), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the art, education, and advancement of the Colorado taxidermy industry. Our members include professional Colorado taxidermists, hobbyists, suppliers, and tanners who share a passion for preserving wildlife artistry and craftsmanship.  

Throughout the year, the CTA hosts educational seminars, meetings, and events designed to support learning, networking, and professional growth within the Colorado taxidermy community. We hold full-day seminars each March and August featuring hands-on instruction and demonstrations covering birds, fish, game heads, mammals, and more.  

Our premier event is the annual State Taxidermy Championship, held each May or early June. This exciting event includes a taxidermy competition, educational seminars led by nationally recognized instructors, a banquet, and a fundraising auction.  

The CTA also publishes newsletters and annual reports to keep members informed and connected with association activities and upcoming events.  

Whether you are an experienced professional or simply interested in learning more about the taxidermy trade, we invite you to join us at one of our meetings or seminars and connect with some of the top taxidermists in the country.
